Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Advanced Practitioner to play a key role in strengthening quality and driving improvement across the SEND system. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Local Area Partnership at an important stage in our improvement journey, working collaboratively across education, health, and care to make a real difference to the experiences and outcomes of children and young people with SEND. Working alongside senior leaders and partners, you will help shape and embed a culture of high‑quality practice, continuous learning, and accountability across the system. You will bring strong professional curiosity, confidence to influence and challenge, and a commitment to co‑production with children, young people, and their families. Role Responsibilities

  • Driving Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance service quality and outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
  • Collaborative Working: Partner with education, health, and care professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to service delivery.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate practices to ensure compliance with standards and promote best practices.
  • Training and Development: Support the professional growth of colleagues through mentoring and training opportunities.
  • Co‑Production: Engage with children, young people, their families, and professional partners to ensure their voices are heard and valued in service development.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • A relevant qualification in social work, education, health or other related field.
  • Significant experience working within the SEND sector.
  • A strong understanding of legislation and best practices related to SEND.
