Mitie is seeking passionate security professionals to join our Security Guard teams nationwide for a project with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). This is an opportunity to be part of a professional team that supports communities across the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and secure environment for DWP staff, visitors, and property.
• Patrol the premises regularly to identify potential security threats.
• Respond effectively to emergencies or suspicious situations.
• Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
• Provide a high level of customer service and assist staff and visitors in security-related matters.
• Conduct routine security checks and submit incident reports as appropriate.
• Adhere to Mitie and DWP security policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Look out for and report health and safety hazards on site.
• Stay alert to changes in the work environment and take appropriate action to reduce disruption, loss, or damage.
• Maintain professional conduct in difficult situations and with challenging customers.
• Complete accurate, detailed notebook entries after incidents to support the Incident Report process.
• Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
• Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents as required.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience preferred.
• DS Licence preferred.
• Full UK driving licence required.
