Junior Clinical Fellow in General Internal Medicine

Overview

Shrewsbury & Telford Hospital NHS Trust is recruiting a Junior Clinical Fellow (ST1-2 Equivalent) Level to support current rota gaps across The Princess Royal Hospital Telford and Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. The post is available for immediate start and will run until January 2027, with a possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist and general medical care to medical inpatients as part of a Consultant‑led clinical team.
• Join the on‑call team covering the Acute Unselected medical take led by the on‑call Consultant.
• Develop enhanced clinical skills, especially in the assessment and management of acutely ill patients.
• Work well in a multi‑professional team with excellent team‑working skills and a professional attitude.
• Deliver agreed clinical and quality targets nationally and locally with clinical teams and commissioners.
• Follow patients throughout their clinical pathways.
