As part of our continued growth, the opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Manager to join our team. The key purpose of this role is to manage and deliver all commercial and financial aspects of contracts, ensuring obligations are met, risks are controlled and value is maximised. The Commercial Manager will proactively manage key stakeholder relationships, including client representatives, to ensure alignment and successful commercial outcomes.

Required

  • Supporting the management and mitigation of risks at all levels (operational, financial, commercial, technical, etc).
  • Management of variation/change control.
  • Repository for confidential/commercially sensitive information.
  • Supporting the governance ensure that the requirements of the contract and internally are being complied with.
  • Aiding the quality of service by ensuring awareness of contractual responsibilities among all other Bellrock colleagues (including contract deliverables, scope of services etc.).
  • Assisting in the search for efficiencies and service optimisation.
  • Ensuring commercial compliance by audit.
  • Supporting the management of cash.
  • The requirement to provide commercial support and governance to the projects and supply chain.

What does it take?

  • Suitable commercial experience within the Hard FM industry and NEC contracts.
  • Excellent financial acumen with an ability to analyse complex data and documentation with accuracy.
  • Sound understanding of risk analysis/management.
  • Delivering – ensuring that the contact delivers from a commercial (financial, risk, business continuity) perspective.
  • Developing – engendering a sense of commercial responsibility and commercial acumen within our operational delivery team.
  • Finance – working alongside finance to understand financial performance and improvement over the life of the contract.

Your core qualities and attributes

  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • PC Literate with knowledge of MS applications e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent Communication – ability to communicate with senior members of our organisation, supplier organisations and the customer’s organisation.
  • Influencing – bringing a more effective commercial approach to our contract.

Working arrangements

In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work between the West Sussex Office and your home address on a hybrid basis Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00.
