Regional Development Manager – Scotland – FMCG Brand
Location: Scotland (Remote Working – Need to be based in Scotland)
- £45,000 – £50,000 Basic Salary
- Bonus up to 20%

This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to join a category-leading, private equity-backed consumer business operating across the UK and international markets.
Over the past 5 – 6 years, the business has been on a significant growth journey following investment, evolving into a highly commercial, performance-driven organisation with a strong portfolio of well-recognised brands and a clear ambition to continue scaling.

As part of their continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Regional Development Manager to take full ownership of their Scotland territory.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
This is a high-impact, commercially accountable role with full responsibility for a multi-million-pound regional P&L.
You will take ownership of driving sales, profit and distribution across Scotland – working closely with a network of customers and leading in-market execution through a team of field-based representatives.
This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk – it’s about being out in the market, identifying opportunities, building relationships and making things happen.

- Own and deliver the Scotland P&L, driving sales, margin and distribution
- Build and execute clear commercial plans across your territory
- Develop strong relationships across independent, wholesale and retail customers
- Lead and manage a network of field sales agents to ensure best-in-class execution
- Identify growth opportunities, distribution gaps and new business wins
- Drive promotional activity and in-store excellence
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver results
- Bring structure, discipline and pace to territory management
The role is home-based and can be located anywhere in Scotland, though candidates based around Central Belt (Glasgow / Edinburgh) will be particularly well placed given customer concentration.
REQUIREMENTS:
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment and enjoys owning a number.
You do not need experience in a specific category – far more important is your ability to operate in the field, influence customers and deliver results.
You will need:
- Experience in FMCG, wholesale, convenience or independent retail channels
- A proven track record of delivering sales and profit growth in a field-based role
- Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of margin, pricing and ROI
- The ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a “make it happen” mindset
- Strong organisation and territory management skills
- Experience managing or working with field sales teams or agents
