Senior Portfolio Assurance & Governance Lead

Summary:Senior leadership role focused on driving governance, assurance, and portfolio oversight across complex programmes, ensuring effective delivery, risk management, and value realisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead assurance activities (health checks, stage gates, deep dives)
• Oversee governance processes with clear, evidence-based reporting
• Challenge senior stakeholders and support informed decision-making
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and RAID accuracy
• Provide financial insight, forecasting, and portfolio analysis
• Drive continuous improvement of governance and portfolio practices

Requirements:

• Strong experience in senior PMO / Portfolio / Assurance roles
• Expertise in governance frameworks and delivery environments
• Proven leadership, stakeholder influence, and analytical skills

Desirable:

• Experience in Centre of Excellence models
• Public sector or complex environments
• Relevant certifications (APM, MSP, P3O)
