We are seeking an experienced and driven Associate Director to join a leading international strategic research and communications consultancy. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact campaigns across the real estate and infrastructure sectors, advising senior clients and shaping the political and communications landscape around major development projects. Associate Director Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise senior executive-level clients on political and communications risks relating to real estate and infrastructure projects.
  • Lead and manage complex, research-based strategic projects from inception to delivery.
  • Act as a trusted advisor in client engagements, delivering exceptional work that drives results.
  • Plan, manage, and monitor projects, ensuring alignment with budget, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Identify and originate new business opportunities with both existing and prospective clients.
  • Deliver revenue targets and contribute to contract extensions and cross-practice referrals.
  • Develop thought leadership content to drive market visibility and generate leads.
  • Promote the consultancy’s brand through professional networks and public engagements.
  • Lead presentations and pitches, representing the firm’s capabilities with credibility and impact.
  • Inspire and mentor team members, contributing to a culture of excellence and career development.

Associate Director Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in strategic communications, campaigning, or political affairs, with a strong focus on the real estate and infrastructure sectors.
  • Solid understanding of the UK planning system and development landscape.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage client relationships and stakeholder communications.
  • Experience in consultancy, with strong commercial acumen and the ability to deliver profitable projects.
  • Proven success in winning business through proposal writing and client engagement.
  • Strong project management skills, including budgeting and team resourcing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering impactful outcomes.
