Installation Technician Warehouse Automation £45,000 – £50,000 salary | 28 days annual leave | National Travel

Were partnering with a global warehouse automation business to recruit an Installation Technician for a highly mobile, field-based role supporting projects across the UK. This position involves significant national travel, so its ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road and working on large-scale automation installations at customer sites. The role

• Install, assemble, and wire warehouse automation systems on-site
• Commission systems and carry out functional and safety testing
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
• Work closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and quality standards
• Complete installation reports, QA records, and documentation
• Provide on-site updates and basic operator training to customers

Travel requirement

• Frequent travel
• Regular National travel
• Occasional short-notice or urgent site visits
• Flexible working hours during peak installation phases

• Experience in industrial automation, installation, or commissioning
• Mechanical and/or electrical background
• Confident fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and customer-facing ability
• Comfortable working at height (MEWPs / forklifts)
• Happy with extensive travel and working away from home
