  • A solid understanding of core cyber security principles, including basic networking, operating systems, Active Directory, and endpoint protection tools.
  • Experience working within an IT support environment, with the ability to monitor alerts, follow escalation procedures, and assist with routine security incidents.
  • Familiarity with hardware diagnostics, patching, switches, anti‑malware tools, virtualisation technologies, and Microsoft Server environments.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to support users, explain technical information clearly, and help promote cyber‑secure working habits across the Trust.
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset, able to manage a busy workload, respond to changing priorities, and remain calm under pressure.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, inclusion, and continuous improvement, supporting education through secure, reliable, and effective technology.

The opportunity to support and enhance cyber security practices across a large multi‑academy trust.
