Are you an experienced offshore leader with a strong background in cable installation and subsea operations?

N-Sea is looking for a skilled Offshore Construction Manager (OCM) to lead and coordinate offshore cable installation projects.

As the senior offshore representative, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of all cable operations. Acting as the key link between offshore teams, onshore management, clients, and subcontractors, you will play a critical role in delivering successful offshore projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all offshore cable installation, repair, burial, and protection activities in line with project requirements and industry standards;
  • Act as the offshore focal point for client representatives, ensuring clear communication, progress reporting, and alignment of expectations;
  • Oversee offshore construction activities, including cable lay, trenching, and subsea operations, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications;
  • Manage and align offshore teams, including supervisors, engineers, vessel crew, and subcontractors;
  • Ensure full compliance with IMCA guidelines and relevant offshore standards;
  • Promote and enforce a strong HSE culture, including risk assessments, toolbox talks, and permit-to-work systems;
  • Monitor operational progress, maintain daily reports, and provide accurate feedback to onshore teams;
  • Coordinate marine, deck, and technical operations to ensure safe and efficient execution;
  • Manage project variations, challenges, and offshore decision-making in real time;
  • Support continuous improvement in offshore procedures and operational performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Technology, or a related field, or equivalent vocational qualification;
  • 5–8+ years of experience in offshore cable operations or subsea construction;
  • Proven experience in leadership roles such as Field Engineer, Shift Supervisor, Deck Foreman, or Lead Technician;
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and decision-making skills in offshore environments;
  • Solid understanding of offshore cable installation practices and subsea operations;
  • Familiarity with IMCA guidelines (e.g., IMCA M 187, IMCA M 264);
  • Experience with renewable projects and knowledge of GWO and G+ guidelines is an advantage;
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal;
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage complex offshore operations.
