Overview
Adult Band 6 Senior Nurse position in the Emergency Department. Deliver high‑quality patient care and support junior staff, working with clinicians to provide excellent care in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior nursing care within the Emergency Department.
- Support and mentor junior nursing staff.
- Lead and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Respond rapidly to evolving clinical situations and think on your feet.
- Work within the support structure of the two ED Matrons and the Head of Nursing.
Qualifications
- Experienced, highly motivated professional with a background in Emergency Nursing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities within multidisciplinary settings.
- Ability to demonstrate managerial skills and adapt quickly to challenges.
- Motivated, enthusiastic and capable of working in a demanding environment.
Team Environment
The Emergency Department sees over 100,000 patients a year and provides integrated Paediatric Emergency care, with support from ST Giles, Safeguarding, CAMHS, and Young People for Brent and Harrow. The post holder will be supported by the two ED Matrons and a Head of Nursing who oversee the ED Teams.
