As a Client Affairs Visiting Officer, you will support adults who receive care through Adult Social Care and lack the capacity to manage their own finances. You’ll meet adults in their homes to understand their needs, ensure their finances are managed in their best interests, and help protect their property when they can no longer do so themselves.
You’ll complete detailed reports, support the Appointeeship & Deputyship Team, and work closely with the Protection of Property team.
Most travel is within East Sussex, but occasional travel outside the county may be required.
Responsibilities
- Meet adults in their homes to assess needs and financial capacity.
- Ensure finances are managed in the best interests of the client.
- Protect client property when the client is unable to do so.
- Produce detailed reports on client visits and findings.
- Collaborate with the Appointeeship & Deputyship Team and the Protection of Property team.
- Travel as required within East Sussex and occasionally outside the county.
Qualifications
- Can communicate effectively with people with complex needs.
- Have experience working with vulnerable adults in a care, social care or similar environment.
- Can analyse financial information and produce clear, comprehensive reports.
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel).
- Can meet the travel requirements of the role.

Salary
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the position is part-time or term-time only.
Additional Information
Applicants will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services. Overseas police checks may be required if you have lived or worked abroad.
