Controls & Automation Engineer – PLC, Scada

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in programming, testing, and commissioning Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
• Hands‑on experience with SCADA systems, HMI development, and industrial information systems
• Familiarity with engineering tools such as AutoCAD, ControlLogix, Modicon, Siemens, and related platforms
• Experience with modern SCADA technologies—Ignition, Wonderware, WinCC—is a significant advantage
• Understanding of industrial cybersecurity, control network architecture, and communication protocols (Ethernet, ProfiBus, ProfiNet, Modbus)
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to documentation
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and deliver to tight project timelines
• Willingness to travel for short commissioning assignments across the UK and internationally
