Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Senior Project Manager will execute and complete projects according to the agreed project milestones and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and other third parties to deliver projects on schedule.
The Senior Project Manager will also define and monitor project objectives and have overall responsibility for the projects’ Quality, Health & Safety throughout the project lifecycle.
Please note: This role requires flexibility regarding travel throughout the UK and EMEA regions to various client/customer sites as and when required by project demands.
What you’ll be doing as our Senior Project Manager:
- Define the scope, goals and deliverables of projects and complete them in line with the project procedures.
- Develop a full-scale project plan and other communication documents for the project.
- Effectively communicate project progress/issues to internal line management/main contractor/client in an agreed and timely fashion.
- Draft and submit accurate forecasts and elevate any major budget deviations to line management in an agreed timely fashion.
- Ensure that project profitability is maximised at all times.
- Control, mentor and motivate the project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned tasks for the duration of the project life cycle.
- Liaise, coordinate, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
- Maintain Company health and safety policy on a daily basis throughout the duration of the project.
- Report incidents, accidents and near misses to management.
- Achieve and maintain defined quality standards including all records.
- Ensure stock is managed in a cost effective manner and sufficient stock is available at all times to ensure efficient installation. Ensure that non-conformances are recorded and corrective actions taken as necessary.
- Ensure that measuring and testing equipment required for the work area is properly identified, calibrated, adjusted and labeled.
- Ensure that plant and equipment is maintained in a safe condition and is regularly serviced.
- Promote environmental awareness to project team members.
- Conduct a post contract review of the project to identify successful and unsuccessful elements of the scope and communicate lessons learned to the business.
- Handle difficult personnel situations directly, using appropriate discretion, HR advice, and respect for the individual.
- Appraise and develop staff.
- Take responsibility for various special projects from time to time.
- Provide leadership, guidance and assistance in all aspects of the sales cycle.
- Responsible for the implementation of BS ISO / IEC 27001 data security management, whilst upholding the ethos of the standard, associated legislation, Company procedures and policies.

- Extensive experience working in the IT environment.
- Extensive experience of Telecommunications Infrastructure Cabling deployments.
- Extensive experience of Project Planning activities.
- Flexible in regards to traveling nationally and internationally to be present on-site as and when required/demanded by the project.
- Excellent knowledge of industry project delivery processes.
- Excellent knowledge of project contracts scope and deliverables.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Understanding of PRINCE2 standards.
- Understanding of OGC Projects and Programme Process.
- Ability to organise multi-skilled teams in projects.
