We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join our UCC team business unit at BD. In this ICB targeted role, you will be responsible for new business development, strategic product commercialisation, and establishing centers of excellence and key opinion leader relationships. You will develop and execute commercial plans to enable successful business rollouts and drive market expansion for our innovative Urinary Management Solutions. As the Business Development Manager, you will serve as the primary driver and delivery of our ICB strategy, engaging with payers, clinical and decision makers across the ICB at a middle to senior level and collaborating with BD UCC Acute and Homecare sales and clinical teams as well as our ScriptEasy and CobWeb teams.
Responsibilities
- Segmenting and targeting key Integrated Care Board (ICB) leadership.
- Developing the BD UMS value proposition utilizing Business Impact modelling, real‑world and clinical support data, and impact modelling.
- Developing the BD ADDvantage® commercial solutions portfolio and engaging this with ICB leadership.
- Collaborating and drawing upon the UCC team to present a multi‑disciplinary value proposition.
- Being the figurehead for our ScriptEasy and CobWeb direct‑to‑patient services in Homecare and developing these offerings in line with BDD ADDvantage® value propositions.
- Collaborating with BDI Strategic Business Management team and BDX Strategic Account Management.
- Helping set and achieve stretch targets for commercial growth.
- Maintaining commercial discipline with SFDC and championing commercial excellence.
- Informing the business of the changing NHS landscape and how decisions across NHS care pathways are evolving.
- Being hungry for success, a natural engager and communicator with NHS decision makers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in the continence and/or medical device/homecare industry or a clinical/market development experience (5+ years).
- A degree in life science (or equivalent) or substantial experience in the medical device industry.
- Strong team player with high ethics, UK travel availability, and a real talent for medical device commercialisation.
- Motivation, perseverance, and creativity are a definitive plus.
- Experienced and successful senior engagement, leadership, and influencing skills for all levels of the business and continence market.
- Proficiency in IT tools such as Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, PBI, SFDC supporting insightful business analysis and reporting.
- Ability to analyse market and sales trends as they relate to the product portfolio.
- Experience working with IC/ICB leaders and decision makers.
- At least 50% mobility across the country.
- Ambitious, collaborative, goal‑oriented, persuasive, results‑driven, and self‑starter.
