Principal Process Engineer

Location: WarringtonStaff / Contract: Inside IR35

Project Description

The project requires the following at a high level:

• ️ Mobilisation of residual solids in legacy effluent management tanks
• Retrieval of solids from tanks
• ⚛️ Separation of solids from adhering nuclear inventory
• Routing of recovered nuclear inventory for onward processing
• Packaging and routing of residual solids for onward encapsulation (ILW and LLW)

Role Description

• Produce process engineering deliverables to support the “Appraise and Select” design phase
• Work within a multi-discipline design team
• Key deliverables will include:
  • Process description
  • Process schematics
  • ⚠️ Basis of process safety
  • ➗ Underpinning calculations

Qualifications

Essential Experience & Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering
• Proactive and driven approach to work
• ️ Good communication skills
• Competent report writing skills
• ⏱️ Comfortable under time and cost constraints

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

• Chartered Chemical Engineer
• Experience with Sellafield Ltd procedures
• ⚛️ Experience in nuclear industry design delivery
• ⚠️ DESEAR

Additional Information

Due to the nature of work to be undertaken, applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
