IT Procurement Specialist

MCS Group is working exclusively with a high-growth, international technology company as they continue to scale their operations in Northern Ireland. We’re looking for an experienced IT Procurement Specialist to join the business and play a key role in software, hardware, and IT services spend within a complex, global environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong experience in technology procurement who is keen to step into a role with real scope, visibility, and influence. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role where you’ll manage sourcing activity end-to-end – from spend analysis and RFPs through to contract negotiation, renewals, and supplier management. You’ll work closely with IT, Legal, Finance, and senior stakeholders, acting as a key commercial partner across the organisation. What you’ll be doing Supporting and delivering IT procurement strategy across software, hardware, and services Managing RFP/RFQ processes from initiation through to completion Negotiating IT and software contracts, renewals, and commercial terms Building and managing supplier relationships to drive value, cost optimisation, and risk management Engaging with senior stakeholders and communicating effectively across the business What we’re looking for Proven experience supporting or leading IT contract negotiations (software or SaaS procurement experience preferred) Background in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, or commercial roles Comfortable reviewing contracts and contributing to negotiations Able to balance stakeholder needs with strong commercial judgement Organised, pragmatic, and confident working independently Nice to have Experience with procurement tools such as SAP / Ariba, Oracle, or Coupa Salary Up to £60,000 plus a leading benefits package.
