Size Group seeks a Project Surveyor to join our Country Houses commercial team.

The Role

As a Project Surveyor, you will support the commercial delivery of our construction projects while working under the guidance of a supportive and experienced commercial team. This role is ideal for a Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career, building confidence, autonomy and exposure to higher‑value projects.

Previous high‑end residential experience is not essential; however, a strong interest in quality‑focused construction and a desire to develop within a premium environment is key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the commercial management of the project
  • Assist with cost control, forecasting and preparation of cost reports and CVRs
  • Manage subcontractor accounts, including valuations, payment notices and record‑keeping
  • Support procurement activities, including issuing enquiries, tender analysis and appointments
  • Assist with the management of variations, change events and commercial reporting
  • Work closely with site teams and senior surveyors to understand construction progress and cost drivers
  • Maintain accurate commercial records to support financial reporting and final accounts
  • Attend project meetings and develop effective working relationships with the supply chain

About You

  • 2–3 years’ experience working in a Quantity Surveying role within construction
  • Experience working for a main contractor or subcontractor
  • A strong willingness to learn and develop within a supportive commercial team
  • Good numerical, organisational and analytical skills
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with site and office teams
  • A genuine interest in progressing into higher‑value and more complex projects
  • Competency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • A professional attitude, attention to detail and pride in quality delivery
