UHT has developed its first group strategy underpinned by clinical transformation proposals together with proposals to transform our corporate services.
This is an exciting role in which the post holder will play a central part in supporting the further development and implementation of the generational transformation envisaged by the UHT strategy.
The role is fundamental to ensuring the group embeds the principles of continuous improvement into the strategy by responding to new developments externally and internally and providing analysis to support decisions and communications.
The post holder will work across the UHT group, its two statutory organisations and throughout a wide range of specialties, collaborating with senior corporate and clinical staff.
The role will support 1) the provision of strategic insight and analysis for the further development of the strategy and 2) the delivery of detailed and challenging engagement with internal and external partners.
The post will be hosted by North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust on behalf of UHT.
Responsibilities
- Organises own day-to-day work and exercises a high level of autonomy and self-motivation while planning around key project dates and deadlines.
- Ensures that development meetings are arranged at appropriate intervals and at times that accommodate the other responsibilities of clinical board members.
- Ensures that appropriate reports are circulated prior to meetings, and that minutes and action points are produced, providing the group with the required agendas, information, and decision options.
- Challenges senior clinical and corporate leaders appropriately and timely when decisions contradict the agreed plans or output specifications of the project.
- Identifies potential interdependency issues within or outside the project board and uses negotiation and planning skills to resolve them, or escalates them to the programme manager.
- Ensures that appropriate attendees and meeting arrangements/facilitation are in place to progress key issues.
- May be required to take notes for circulation to the wider programme/project team.
- Ensures that reporting (format to be confirmed) is in place and is completed according to appropriate timescales.
