Overview
Our client is a well-established engineering business specialising in the design and manufacture of electrical equipment and systems. They are looking to appoint a Product Manager to work on a key line within their power products portfolio.
The Role
You will take ownership of a specific product range, managing the full lifecycle from strategy through to market delivery. This is a commercially focused role requiring both strong technical understanding and the ability to position and grow products in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Define product strategy, roadmap, and long-term vision
- Manage the full product lifecycle (cradle to grave)
- Lead new product introductions and portfolio development
- Gather and translate customer and market insights into product improvements
- Support sales and marketing with product positioning and value proposition
- Analyse market trends, competitors, and growth opportunities
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and operations teams
Requirements
- Strong technical understanding of medium to high voltage equipment.
- Experience in product management or product marketing within an engineering/manufacturing environment
- Ability to combine technical knowledge with commercial awareness
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Engineering degree (electrical or mechanical)
- Experience within power, energy, or related sectors
