A high‑growth, national retailer is looking for a Digital Trader to own online trading and merchandising across several key product categories, driving sales, margin and conversion on a major transactional website.
In this role you will:
- Take day‑to‑day responsibility for how products are traded and merchandised online, using onsite search, category structure and product sequencing to maximise visibility and conversion.
- Continually improve the onsite customer journey across desktop and mobile by optimising categories, filters and navigation, turning browsing sessions into sales.
- Use analytics and BI tools to monitor performance (sales, CVR, AOV, margin, bounce rate), identifying trading opportunities and fixing issues fast.
- Work closely with Email, Social, Buying, Design, Digital Marketing, Operations and UX/CRO teams to execute campaigns, promotions and page builds that are commercially strong and customer‑first.
- Lead onsite execution of promotions and support SEO activity, while tracking competitor pricing, ranges and promotional tactics to spot gaps and new ideas.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Have ecommerce experience in a fast‑paced retail environment, confident working with KPIs and data to make clear trading decisions.
- Are comfortable using reporting and BI tools, Excel/Google Sheets, and collaborating with internal teams and external agencies (SEO and paid media).
- Bring strong organisation, communication and a test‑and‑learn mindset, able to juggle multiple campaigns and deadlines without losing focus on the customer.
