Internal Audit AVP – Global Markets

A high-performing Internal Audit team within a leading international bank is hiring an AVP to join its Global Markets function. This is a team in transition, moving toward a more risk-based, analytics-led audit approach, offering strong exposure across trading activities and real influence over how the function evolves.

The role

• Deliver risk-based audits across Global Markets, identifying control weaknesses and driving improvements
• Work closely with senior stakeholders across Front Office, Risk and Finance
• Contribute to the evolution of audit methodology, including greater use of data and analytics
• Support ongoing audit planning, risk assessments and continuous monitoring activities
• Produce high-quality audit reports, translating complex issues into clear, actionable insights

If you are interested, your CV should demonstrate:

• Experience within Global Markets
• Strong understanding of financial products and trade lifecycle across asset classes (FX, Rates, Equities, Credit)
• Exposure to Treasury is beneficial but secondary to Markets experience
• Background in Internal Audit, Risk, or the business is all considered
• Analytical mindset, with exposure to data tools such as Python, Power BI or similar
• Ability to write clear, structured reports and apply a strong audit or logical methodology
• Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple workstreams effectively

This role will suit someone at the junior to mid AVP level who wants to deepen their exposure to Global Markets in a structured but evolving audit environment, with the chance to build both technical and analytical capability.
