As a pioneer in green hydrogen, ITM Power designs and manufactures cutting-edge electrolysis technology that enables decarbonisation across industry and infrastructure. With global demand accelerating, we’re growing our senior team and seeking a confident, commercially driven lawyer to join us as Deputy Head of Legal.
The Role
This is a rare opportunity to help lead and shape the legal function of an AIM-listed, international technology business. Reporting to the General Counsel, you’ll be a senior advisor across ITM Power-driving quality, consistency, and commercial acumen within legal operations.
You will:
- Lead the negotiation of complex commercial contracts with global clients and partners
- Oversee legal input across sales, procurement, corporate, dispute resolution, compliance and governance matters
- Coach and manage a talented in-house team
- Build risk-aware, future-ready legal processes
- Represent the legal function with authority and integrity at a senior level
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with colleagues and external advisers
- Act as a true business partner – pragmatic, solution-focused, and commercially minded
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a qualified solicitor with:
- 8+ years’ post-qualification experience in commercial and corporate law
- Strong in-house exposure or demonstrable commercial mindset
- Experience of negotiating high-value international agreements
- A confident leadership style and interest in team development
- Strategic thinking and adaptability in a scaling environment
