IT Service Architect

Location: Portsmouth, England, United Kingdom

Base Location: Havant, Reading, Glasgow

Salary: £50,100 – £75,100

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The role

This role forms part of the Service Strategy & Performance team that designs, develops and delivers a tooling‑aligned Service Management framework, enhancing the end‑to‑end service value chain in line with ITIL and SIAM best practice.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Service Management architectural standards for IT Services, collaborating with stakeholders across the enterprise.
  • Link service value chain elements (Service Design, Continuity, Availability, Capability, Risk, Service Catalogue, Configuration, Level, Portfolio, Financial Management), creating an integrated model and roadmap.
  • Ensure governance of IT Service Management standards, reporting KPIs and advising on risks.
  • Support vendor integration and onboarding, establishing seamless service and supplier ecosystem.
  • Advocate and support Service Architecture practices, facilitating community of practice sessions and guiding Product, Architecture & Service Delivery Teams.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of long‑term business strategy and short‑term priorities.
  • Deep knowledge of Service Architecture & Design components.
  • Familiarity with Service Management frameworks (ITIL) and SIAM principles.
  • Experience with Service Management data models and taxonomy (CSDM, TBM) and tooling (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Positive, flexible attitude to managing challenges and resolving issues.
