Mechanical Design Engineer

MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

We are recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work for our client located in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Responsibilities:

• Produce drawings specifically for SPM (Special Purpose Machines)
• Work in line with company procedures and machine capability to ensure production deadlines are met
• Maintain high attention to detail in your work

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Experience in a special purpose machinery or similar design environment
• Passion for engineering and designing quality solutions
• Degree or HNC in a mechanically oriented engineering discipline
• Experience in machinery design, including mechanical assemblies, linkages, couplings, bearings, gear trains, belts, and pulleys
• Knowledge of kinematics and force analysis is advantageous
• Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, Inventor, and AutoCAD Mechanical
• Attention to detail, including dimensional and geometric tolerances
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
• Discretion and trustworthiness

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years in a high-precision manufacturing environment

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 8:30 am start

Salary:

Up to GBP 41,000 annually, depending on experience
