SENIOR FINANCE ANALYST (BI)
WATFORD/HYBRID
UP TO £65,000
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-impact analytics team that sits at the centre of commercial decision-making. You will work on high-visibility projects, partner with senior stakeholders, and use your SQL and analytical expertise to guide major strategic choices across the business.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Finance Analyst (BI) will: Deliver high-quality analysis using SQL and large datasets to answer commercial and financial questions. Assess retail market trends, growth opportunities and performance variations across the business. Support cross-functional teams on decisions around investment, spend allocation and strategic priorities. Build dashboards and reporting solutions in Power BI to support business partners. Work closely with senior leadership to provide insight into performance drivers and major business questions. Ensure robust data governance, accuracy and consistency across reporting. * Collaborate with finance stakeholders and contributing to business cases and investment analysis.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience: Strong SQL capability, confident using SQL daily to interrogate and manipulate large datasets. Experience working with commercial, finance or sales data in a business environment. Strong experience building dashboards and visualisations in Power BI. Familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouse environments. Ability to work with unstructured, ambiguous and complex datasets. Strong critical thinking skills, able to challenge assumptions and build clear recommendations. Confident working with stakeholders and building strong working relationships across teams. Experience with data relating to P&L, financial performance or commercial metrics is beneficial. xwzovoh
