Position: Head of Product Design
Overview
Join Bridebook as Head of Product Design to build a scalable design system and lead a high‑performing design team.
Responsibilities
- Define company’s design vision, principles, roadmap, aligning with product and brand.
- Build and evolve a unified, scalable design system (components, tokens, guidelines) for app, mobile web, and desktop.
- Champion accessibility, design quality standards, and a mobile‑first mindset across all surfaces.
- Establish rigorous discovery practices (interviews, usability testing, surveys, analytics).
- Run A/B and multivariate experiments, translate results into iterative product decisions.
- Advocate for data‑informed design, balancing qualitative research with analytical rigor.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high‑performing design team, setting craft expectations and creating rituals that raise the bar.
- Identify and implement best‑in‑class tools and technologies to improve speed and quality.
- Embed collaborative, user‑centered culture celebrating learning and continuous improvement.
- Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to frame problems, scope solutions, and balance user value, feasibility, and commercial impact.
- Drive efficient planning and delivery cadences (goals, critiques, reviews) to improve predictability and velocity.
- Uphold streamlined processes and documentation meeting Bridebook standards.
- Act as thought leader within the senior team, aligning design strategy with company goals.
- Communicate progress, risks, trade‑offs clearly to stakeholders.
- Elevate Bridebook’s product experience, becoming a recognizable reference product and brand.
Qualifications
- Significant experience leading Product Design within a digital consumer app or marketplace.
- Built and scaled design systems across multiple platforms (mobile, web, desktop).
- Deeply user‑focused and insight‑driven, balancing qualitative research with analytical rigor.
- Strong track record of running experimentation (A/B testing, usability testing, iteration cycles).
- Exceptional people leader and coach, experienced hiring, mentoring, and developing designers.
- Strategic systems thinker connecting long‑term vision to day‑to‑day execution.
- Highly collaborative, experienced working cross‑functionally with Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams.
- Communicates clearly and persuasively with senior stakeholders.
- Strong bias to action – pragmatic, iterative, outcome‑oriented.
