I’m working with a leading defence technology client who are looking to bring an RF Engineer into their growing engineering team in Stevenage.
The opportunity
As an RF Engineer, you’ll be involved in the research, design and testing of high-frequency systems, contributing directly to the development of next-generation RF technology. This is a hands‑on RF Engineer role, suited to someone who enjoys getting into the lab, working on real hardware, and seeing designs through from concept to test and validation.
You’ll Be
- Designing and developing RF circuits and subsystems
- Supporting rapid prototyping and hardware modifications
- Carrying out testing, validation and troubleshooting in a lab environment
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams across design and integration
What They’re Looking For
- Strong practical RF design and test experience at component level
- Experience across a broad frequency range (e.g. MHz through to GHz)
- Background working with RF components such as amplifiers, filters, oscillators or synthesizers
- Hands‑on lab experience (soldering, debugging, fault finding)
- Familiarity with RF test equipment (e.g. spectrum analyzers, VNAs, power meters)
- Understanding of RF design tools (e.g. Microwave Office or similar)
- Knowledge of designing for challenging environments (EMC, thermal, vibration)
Package & Benefits
- Salary circa £65,000 depending on experience
