About the Job
Full‑time, 37 hours per week, based in the Taunton office, covering the whole of Somerset. Hybrid working available. 33 days annual leave.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the quality of service provision for children with child protection plans or looked after.
- Lead the Children’s Advocacy and Independent Reviewing Service to deliver on priorities, improving outcomes for children.
- Manage and oversee Independent Reviewing Officers for Children Looked After, children with child protection plans, foster carers, and the LADO service and Route 1 advocacy, ensuring statutory standards and review time‑scales are achieved.
- Escalate and support resolution of complex operational problems and conflicts to ensure positive outcomes.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to Practice Standards, identify good practice, and report on improvement areas.
- Develop strategic plans and collaborate with partners and other services to resolve quality issues.
Qualifications / Experience
- Social Work qualification.
- Track record of delivering projects and service plans to improve service delivery.
- Demonstrable knowledge of statutory, legislative and policy frameworks underpinning the service.
- Experience of partnership working including influencing and leading multi‑agency groups to deliver services and initiatives.
