Quality Assurance Engineer/ Technician

QA Engineer / Technician – ManufacturingLocation: LancashireSalary: £36,000 – £38,000 per annum

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer/Technician to join our manufacturing team in Lancashire. This role is critical in ensuring that products meet quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-process and final inspections of manufactured products
• Develop and implement inspection and test plans (ITPs)
• Identify, document, and investigate non-conformances and quality issues
• Support root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve quality and reduce defects
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality systems, and health & safety requirements
• Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and documentation
• Assist with internal and external audits

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a QA/QC role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001) and inspection techniques
• Experience using measuring equipment (e.g. calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Relevant technical qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent preferred)
