Job Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work as part of a team who will provide a support service to Home Carers working to support vulnerable people living in the community Council wide. This includes scheduling and allocation of work. The post requires an interest and good understanding of IT programmes.
This position is the Scheduling Supervisor role for South Lanarkshire Council.
Responsibilities & Commitments
Demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the Organisation.
Work in accordance with a roster which includes early shift, back shift and weekends. Additional increments for working unsocial hours will apply.
Conduct self‑monitoring of the dispersed workforce, ensuring communication, consistency and quality of work in an agile working environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
Register with the Scottish Social Service Council (SSSC) as a supervisor in Care at Home and gain full SSSC registration within 3 months of commencing the post.
Be eligible to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to a formal offer of employment.
Conduct an Overseas Criminal Records Check if born outside the UK or if you have lived or worked outside the UK for a continuous period of three months in the past 10 years. The check must be translated into English and include an official statement confirming no current or pending criminal record proceedings.
Be exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 2003 and be fully qualified to work with adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007.
Meeting essential criteria in the person specification is required. The post is considered Regulated Work with adults.

Salary & Hours
Location: East Kilbride
Hours: 29hrs per week, permanent.
Shift pattern: working 7 days over 14, including every second weekend, a combination of early shift and back shift, in accordance with a roster (2 weeks early shift and 2 weeks back shift).
Salary / Hourly Rate: £31,239 – £32,131 (£20.66 – £21.25 per hour). Additional increments for unsocial hours apply, resulting in a starting pay of £21.25 or £21.87 per hour.
