The Role

As Service Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of 3 and developing the depot, ensuring smooth operational performance while driving growth across service, labour, and parts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the overall performance and development of the depot against agreed targets
  • Leading, motivating, and developing a team of engineers and support staff
  • Building strong relationships with customers, handling queries and resolving issues effectively
  • Driving growth of the customer base, labour sales, and parts revenue
  • Overseeing preventative maintenance schedules and service delivery
  • Managing warranty claims, fleet servicing, and hire equipment
  • Controlling departmental purchasing and stock, ensuring best practice is followed
  • Ensuring high standards across workshop operations, vehicles, and facilities
  • Maintaining accurate records and compliance, including health & safety standards
  • Providing technical support to the wider business, including sales teams

About You

  • Proven experience in a Service Manager or similar leadership role
  • Background within engineering, manufacturing, or a technical service environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Commercially aware, with experience driving performance and growth
  • Excellent customer-facing and problem-solving abilities
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
