The Role
As Service Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of 3 and developing the depot, ensuring smooth operational performance while driving growth across service, labour, and parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the overall performance and development of the depot against agreed targets
- Leading, motivating, and developing a team of engineers and support staff
- Building strong relationships with customers, handling queries and resolving issues effectively
- Driving growth of the customer base, labour sales, and parts revenue
- Overseeing preventative maintenance schedules and service delivery
- Managing warranty claims, fleet servicing, and hire equipment
- Controlling departmental purchasing and stock, ensuring best practice is followed
- Ensuring high standards across workshop operations, vehicles, and facilities
- Maintaining accurate records and compliance, including health & safety standards
- Providing technical support to the wider business, including sales teams
About You
- Proven experience in a Service Manager or similar leadership role
- Background within engineering, manufacturing, or a technical service environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Commercially aware, with experience driving performance and growth
- Excellent customer-facing and problem-solving abilities
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
