You will work in a fast‑paced, results‑oriented environment, collaborating with depot personnel, suppliers and third‑party service providers to ensure services are available and of the highest standard.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the HQ Procurement Manager, ensuring materials and tools are available to enable the business to provide trains, meeting all product and safety criteria.
  • Sourcing and obtaining quotations.
  • Processing purchase orders with approved vendors.
  • Tracking deliveries and updating order records.
  • Ensuring all suppliers meet Stadler’s accreditation requirements.
  • Supporting any functions with supplier‑related issues.
  • Expediting overdue materials and parts to minimise delays.
  • Working cross‑functionally with other UK sites as business needs arise.
  • Identifying risk and pre‑emptively mitigating it, finding resolution.
  • Supporting the warranty process.
  • Managing costs within operations & supply chain, ensuring processes and systems meet agreed service levels.
  • Using UK travel to visit Stadler Rail Services UK locations regularly.

Qualifications

  • Sound knowledge of material supply principles, procedures and practices.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and stock‑management applications.
  • Ability to build personal credibility by demonstrating the organisation’s values, building trust and contributing to business success.
  • Strong team focus and proven ability to build productive relationships at all levels.
  • Pro‑active attitude, identifying improved ways to support growth objectives.
  • Participation in team and one‑to‑one meetings.
  • Keep up to date with company policies, procedures, quality management standards, health and safety and relevant legislation.
