Type of Contract: Permanent – 40 hrs per week

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 Per annum DOE, plus discretionary annual bonus

Join the Estates & Facilities team at Global Banking School (GBS) as a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer. You’ll maintain, install, and refurbish building fabric and equipment across our UK campus portfolio, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient learning environments. This hands‑on role combines planned and preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and support for refurbishment projects, with occasional out‑of‑hours work to minimise disruption.

What you’ll do

  • Planned & reactive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and building systems
  • General trades: plumbing, electrical fittings, carpentry, decorating
  • Inspections (HVAC, lighting, fire interfaces), PAT, fire door & Legionella checks
  • Support refurbishments, installations, and campus upgrades
  • Accurate records, stock control, and safe systems of work
  • Travel and Flexibility

What you’ll bring

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
  • City & Guilds Level 2 and/or Level 3 in Electrical Installations, or equivalent NVQ, or demonstrable experience to the same standard
  • Previous experience in building maintenance including M&E systems
  • Manual skills, knowledge of refurbishment techniques
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work with “can do” attitude
  • Familiarity with COSHH requirements for the equipment and chemicals being used
  • Interpersonal skill and ability to work on your own but at the same time part of the facilities wider team
  • Full, Clean Driving License
