With continued expansion and exciting plans for the future, they’re now looking for a motivated Buying Assistant to join their Head Office team in Plymouth.  This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in retail and buying to get hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced commercial environment, supporting experienced Senior Buyers and playing a real part in shaping product ranges seen by customers nationwide.  What you’ll be doing:  As a Buying Assistant, you’ll be right at the heart of the buying function, helping to drive sales and profit through: Supporting the Senior Buying team to deliver sales, margin and stock targetsAssisting with sourcing, developing and managing product ranges and promotional offersLiaising with suppliers and maintaining accurate product and range dataMonitoring competitor activity and market trendsResearching, analysing and interpreting data to support buying decisionsEnsuring administrative, financial and system processes are completed accurately and on timeProducing regular information and updates for storesWorking closely with retail teams to ensure new ranges launch smoothly in stores  What we’re looking for: A clear interest in retail and buying, with good commercial awarenessStrong communication skills and the confidence to work with suppliers and internal teamsHighly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritiseComfortable working independently as well as part of a teamStrong numerical, analytical and written skillsConfident using Microsoft Excel, including formulas and graphsWhat’s in it for you? Company pensionEmployee discountCycle to work schemeLong service awardsThe chance to build a long‑term career within a successful, growing businessThe details: Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:45am – 5:30pmLocation: Plymouth, DevonContract: Temporary to Permanent (12 week probation)If you’re organised, commercially minded and looking to take the next step in a buying or retail career, this could be the perfect role for you.  Apply today or contact Chelsea Goodman in the Pertemps Plymouth branch….
