About National Centre for Neurodivergence & ND Hub Glos

We are a values-led, trauma-informed organisation committed to supporting neurodivergent individuals and communities. Our work is grounded in anti-racism, accessibility, and real-world impact. We prioritise people over profit, and community over hierarchy.

About the Role

This is not a traditional PA role.

You will work directly with the CEO as a trusted executive partner, helping to translate vision into action, hold structure around fast-moving work, and proactively take ownership of key areas.

The CEO is neurodivergent (ADHD, autistic, dyslexic), and works in a dynamic, non-linear, and high-impact way. This role requires someone who can adapt to that working style, bring clarity without control, and create supportive structure without rigidity.

You will need to be intuitive, highly organised, and confident taking initiative, often stepping in to move things forward without waiting to be asked.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Support

  • Manage and prioritise the CEO’s time, energy, and focus (not just diary management)
  • Track actions, follow up on decisions, and ensure tasks don’t get lost
  • Prepare briefs, summaries, and key information in accessible formats
  • Act as a “second brain” holding detail, context, and continuity

Operational Support

  • Proactively take ownership of tasks and projects where appropriate
  • Support coordination across different areas of the organisation
  • Help bring structure to ideas and support implementation
  • Identify gaps, risks, or delays and address them early

Communications & Social Media

  • Support with social media planning, posting, and engagement
  • Draft and edit communications in line with organisational tone and values
  • Help translate complex ideas into clear, accessible messaging
  • Maintain consistency across platforms and communications

Relationship & Stakeholder Support

  • Support email management and responses where appropriate
  • Help manage external relationships and follow-ups
  • Ensure timely and professional communication across stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting a senior leader or working in a high-responsibility coordination role
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple moving parts
  • High level of initiative, able to take action without needing constant direction
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Crucially, you must be:

  • Neurodivergent-aware and willing to adapt your working style
  • Calm, grounded, and able to bring clarity without overwhelm
  • Flexible and solutions-focused
  • Discreet, trustworthy, and emotionally intelligent
  • Experience working in a social enterprise, CIC, or values-led organisation
  • Understanding of trauma-informed practice
  • Experience with social media/content creation
  • Lived or professional experience of neurodivergence

How You’ll Work

  • You will not be micromanaged, autonomy is expected
  • You will be trusted to step in, suggest improvements, and take initiative
  • You will help create structure, not enforce rigid systems
  • You will play a key role in enabling the CEO to focus on strategic work

Why This Role Matters

This role is central to the organisation’s ability to grow sustainably while staying grounded in its values. The right person will not just support the CEO, they will actively enable the impact of the entire organisation.
