Clinical / Counselling Psychologist – Exeter Mindplace (Face to Face)

Location: Exeter, EX2 5SP

Permanent, competitive salary and comprehensive benefits. Part‑time (minimum 2 days per week) and full‑time positions available on a hybrid basis.

Session Requirements

  • Monday to Friday: 07:30 am/08:00 am – 15:30 pm/16:00 pm and 14:00 pm – 22:00 pm.
  • Weekends 08:30 am – 17:00 pm, at least one weekend per three; may be less depending on location.
  • Five appointments per day.

Your Role

As a Clinical Counselling Psychologist within Bupa Health Services, you will use your training and education to support our customers by providing evidence‑based therapeutic care and education on living healthier, happier lives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑quality therapeutic care with excellent clinical outcomes.
  • Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations for evidence‑based intervention.
  • Offer face‑to‑face, telephone, or video consultations.
  • Adhere to Bupa’s case‑management processes and collaborate with Clinical Leads and the therapy team.
  • Work within sessional limits based on the client’s Private Medical Insurance allowance.
  • Provide signposting or onward referrals as needed.
  • Offer ad‑hoc well‑being support and coaching.
  • Conduct one‑off assessments and referral recommendations.
  • Provide group psychoeducation and mental‑health awareness through remote presentations, workshops, and training.
  • Work autonomously within professional guidelines and Bupa’s service policies.
  • Attend regular clinical supervision and monthly team meetings.
  • Collaborate with the operational and clinical team to improve client and employee experiences.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Professional doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society.
  • Health and Care Professions Council registration as a Chartered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
  • General adult mental health experience.
  • At least one year’s post‑qualification clinical experience.

Desirable

  • Training and accreditation in specialised areas of psychological relevance.
  • Corporate experience.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.

  • Experience managing own caseload and working towards individual targets and outcomes.
