Job Description
Apprentice Electrical Installation Engineer
Location: HMP Belmarsh, Western Way, London. SE28 0EB
Salary: £25,566.00 per annum
Contract: Full time, 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, fixed term

Responsibilities
You will work closely with skilled engineers, supporting the maintenance and repair of critical mechanical, plumbing and heating systems that keep sites safe and operational. Through on the job learning, mentoring and formal training, you will build specialist knowledge, practical skills, and recognised qualifications. This role is ideal for someone looking to earn, learn and develop a meaningful engineering career while contributing to essential public services and real social impact.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- GCSEs or equivalent at grades A to C or 9 to 4 in English and Maths
- Demonstration of practical work or mechanical aptitude
- Skilled in the Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Good organisation skills
