Business Development Manager – Cyber Security Services/products

We’re partnering with a fast-growing cyber security startup looking to make its first commercial hire — a high-impact New Business Sales Executive who wants more than just another sales role. This is an opportunity to join at an early stage, work directly with the founder, and play a key role in shaping the company’s growth strategy. You won’t inherit a territory or a rigid playbook — you’ll help build it. If you’re someone who enjoys autonomy, thrives in a “hunter” role, and wants to influence how a business scales this role will be perfect for you, you’ll take full ownership of the new business sales cycle, from prospecting through to close, while helping define go-to-market strategy and target sectors. Working closely with technical teams and leadership, you’ll be instrumental in driving adoption of a subscription-based penetration testing offering across a range of high-value industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals
  • Identify and win new business across sectors such as financial services, defence, government, and critical infrastructure
  • Build and manage a strong, self-generated pipeline
  • Drive adoption of a subscription-led cyber security testing model
  • Work closely with technical consultants to scope solutions and develop proposals
  • Represent the business at industry events and through your network
  • Provide market insights to help shape sales strategy and growth plans

Skills/Experience

  • 3 yrs + B2B sales experience within cyber security (services or products)
  • Understanding of offensive security (penetration testing, red teaming, vulnerability management)
  • Proven ability to generate your own pipeline and close new business
  • Confidence engaging senior stakeholders (CISO, CIO, Head of Security, etc.)
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
  • London-based or able to commute
  • Experience selling into the defence sector (not essential but is a nice to have)
