Audit Manager / Accounts Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Audit & Accounts Manager to lead and manage audit and accounting engagements within a professional services environment. Based in Eastbourne, this role requires expertise in accounting and finance to deliver high-quality services to a diverse portfolio of clients. Client Details This is a professional services organisation specialising in accounting and finance. As a small-sized firm, they take pride in offering tailored services to their clients while fostering a supportive and professional working environment. Description Lead and manage audit and accounts assignments from planning to completion. Review and prepare statutory financial statements in compliance with relevant regulations. Provide expert advice to clients on accounting and tax matters. Ensure the accurate and timely submission of financial reports. Supervise and mentor junior team members, ensuring professional development. Maintain strong client relationships and address client queries effectively. Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance client satisfaction. Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and industry regulations. Initially the role will be circa 25% audit and 75% accounts/tax with a view to the audit portfolio growing over time. Profile A successful Audit & Accounts Manager should have: A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA). Strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards. Experience managing client portfolios within a professional services setting. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
