Graduate Investment Risk Analyst

Overview

To gain experience in and contribute to all aspects of the risk team’s process so that you can support and add value to the team whilst developing your knowledge and career within the risk team at Dynamic Planner. The Graduate Investment Risk Analyst will work on several projects directly with their reporting manager to help the team progress in standardising processes. This will cover several topics such as reporting, automation, and enriching risk analytics.

Competencies (Knowledge/Skills/Experience)

• Data Analysis
• Microsoft Office Suite – Excel and Word, and willing to learn VBA
• Must have coding skills (either R or Python)
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Team player
• Willing to learn, engage and participate
• Attention to detail

Education & Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in numerical subjects such as mathematics, computer science, data analysis, statistics, physics and related fields.

Job Responsibilities

• The team works directly with internal stakeholders and Asset Managers to risk profile portfolios.
• The team is split into two activities:
  • One part focuses on risk modeling and calculating the initial risk profile of the portfolios.
  • The other part reports quarterly on the risk positioning of client portfolios.
• The analyst will work in the first team to ensure that instruments within the portfolios are modeled correctly, work on onboarding new clients and new portfolios, and collaborate with the second team to respond to client queries.
