Night Security Officer – Gatehouse Based

Location: Aberdare Shift Pattern: 3 on / 3 off (17:30 – 05:30) Pay Rate: £13.36 per hour Pay Frequency: Monthly

Role Overview

We are currently seeking a reliable and professional Night Security Officer to join our team at a site in Aberdare. This is a gatehouse‑based role with additional responsibilities across the site during night hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Controlling site access and egress
• Operating and monitoring CCTV systems
• Completing regular patrols of the site
• Maintaining accurate logs and records
• Dealing with visitors, drivers, and contractors professionally
• Responding appropriately to incidents and alarms
• Carrying out general gatehouse duties

Requirements

• Valid SIA Licence (essential)
• Previous security or gatehouse experience preferred
• Strong communication and observational skills
• Ability to work independently during night shifts
• Reliable, punctual, and professional at all times
• Basic IT skills for logging and reporting
