Role Summary
Investigations and Compliance (I&C) is part of KPMG’s Forensic practice. We help clients with their biggest and most challenging misconduct and integrity matters. As a result of an exciting and increasing pipeline of fraud analytics work, we are looking for a Manager to help coordinate the strategic direction of a team deploying analytics (including fraud analytics routines and GenAI capabilities) over large complex financial and other datasets, both structured and unstructured.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day‑to‑day delivery of client engagements, or components thereof, focusing on data analytics tools to analyze large, complex datasets.
- Liaise and work directly with the client, the client’s external counsel, senior KPMG team members and other third parties as required.
- Draft written deliverables and/or presentations suitable for review by KPMG Partners and Directors, and for client presentation.
- Oversee and train junior colleagues.
- Participate in business development activities including marketing, knowledge sharing and practice development.
Locations & Work Flexibility
Birmingham, London (Canary Wharf) and Manchester – with 20 sites across the UK. We can facilitate office work, working from home, flexible hours and part‑time options.
Qualifications & Experience
- Track record of developing and deploying a strategy to deploy data analytics tools across large data sets in a dynamic investigations environment.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python and other relevant programming languages for data curation, analysis and interrogation.
- Ability to translate non‑technical business requirements into analytical solutions.
- Qualified accountant or understanding of double‑entry bookkeeping in the context of ERP systems.
- Experience building GenAI solutions, understanding LLM concepts and prompt engineering techniques.
- Experience managing a junior team to achieve objectives.
- Ability to work independently and resolve complex issues with minimal supervision.
Desired Skills (Amazing Extras)
- Understanding of financial processes such as P2P, R2R and O2C and ability to use relevant data markers to link datasets, develop ETL pipelines and identify transactions of concern.
- Knowledge of advanced data science techniques, including machine learning, natural language processing and statistical analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI.
- Experience with general ledger / ERP data, with larger ERP systems such as SAP/Oracle as a plus.
- Familiarity with graph analytics and libraries such as Neo4j and NetworkX.
