SGF Global is currently recruiting a Business Development Manager on behalf of a leading company in the communications technology sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market presence in London.

The Business Development Manager will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic sales plans, managing partner relationships, and strengthening the company’s position across key vertical markets and end-user industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the London region.
  • Identify growth markets and assess opportunities across the Hytera product portfolio, including short- and long-term projects and tender opportunities.
  • Implement business development strategies in collaboration with partners, system operators/integrators, and end users to secure new sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, partners, and stakeholders within the two-way radio industry and end-user sectors.
  • Identify and introduce potential new resellers and distributors to the Channel Sales team.
  • Conduct market research to analyse trends, identify opportunities, and monitor competitor activity, adjusting strategies as required.
  • Monitor sales performance and market developments, producing regular sales reports for management review.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, technological developments, and the competitive landscape.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, trade shows, and during tender and bidding processes.

Person Specification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience in business development or sales, ideally within the two-way radio, communication technology, or CCTV industry.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyse market data and translate insights into effective commercial strategies.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional European languages are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Europe/Uk
