Who we are:

This is Beyond is a global events business operating at the intersection of luxury travel, lifestyle and culture.

We create some of the most well-known, invite-only events in the industry, bringing together 15,000 senior leaders and around 3,000 regular clients across our portfolio. Each of our events has its own identity and following. The next chapter is about connecting them and building This is Beyond into a brand and community with real authority and relevance beyond the events themselves.

The role:

This is not a traditional marketing role. We are looking for someone to build the overarching This is Beyond brand and community from the ground up, connecting our portfolio of events into something people actively want to be part of, not just attend. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will shape how the brand shows up globally, create a clear point of view, and build a community that drives both engagement and commercial value.

This role is about creating something from nothing, bringing fresh thinking, new ideas, and a different lens to how we engage our audience.

What success looks like:

● Build a recognisable, respected brand beyond individual events

● Create a global community that extends beyond the events themselves

● Increase engagement, retention, and cross-pollination across the portfolio

● Develop new ways to monetise audience and brand beyond traditional event formats

● Introduce new ideas that shift This is Beyond from an events business into a true brand-led platform.

What you will do:

Brand & Community Building

● Define and build the overarching This is Beyond brand across all touchpoints

● Develop a clear narrative, identity and point of view that connects all events

● Build and nurture a global community across the portfolio

● Create strategies to engage the audience year-round, not just during events

Creative Direction & Storytelling

● Lead the creative direction of the brand, ensuring everything is distinctive, relevant and high quality

● Develop ideas, campaigns and experiences that cut through and create impact

● Ensure consistency while allowing individual events to retain their identity

● Oversee and guide the internal studio team, ensuring creative output is aligned with the overarching brand vision and consistently high quality

Audience & Growth

● Identify new ways to grow and engage the audience

● Create a sense of belonging and participation, not just attendance

● Explore new formats, partnerships and channels to expand reach

● Oversee CRM team, helping them to better understand, segment and engage the audience, driving more personalised and meaningful interactions across the community

Commercial Impact

● Translate brand and community into tangible commercial outcomes

● Support revenue growth through stronger engagement, retention and positioning

● Identify new monetisation opportunities beyond core event formats

Leadership

● Lead and inspire the marketing, creative and content teams

● Foster a culture of creativity, ownership and experimentation

● Work closely with senior leadership to shape overall business direction

What you will need:

● Experience building or shaping a brand, audience or community

● A track record of creating something distinctive, not just executing campaigns

● Strong creative instinct combined with commercial awareness

● Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building from scratch

● Brings a clear point of view and isnʼt afraid to challenge thinking

● Able to balance big-picture thinking with hands-on execution

Your background could be in consumer brands, lifestyle, media, events or elsewhere.

Industry experience is not essential.

Position Type: Permanent, with a 4-day working week. Our hybrid model includes 3 days in the office (located in Shepherd’s Bush), 1 day working from home, and every Friday as a non-working day as standard.
