Cantor Fitzgerald is seeking a Senior Manager – Corporate Tax Compliance & Reporting to join its London-based EMEA and APAC Tax team. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work within a complex, fast-paced international financial services group and is well suited to an experienced tax professional looking to broaden their exposure across multiple jurisdictions.
The successful candidate will bring a strong technical understanding of corporate tax accounting, including current and deferred tax, and will play a key role in managing tax compliance, reporting and governance across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the quarterly tax provision process for the UK, EMEA and APAC regions, prepared through OTP.
- Review monthly reconciliations of current and deferred tax balances for material entities.
- Act as a key point of contact with HMRC, external auditors, external advisers, CFOs and senior management in the UK and overseas.
- Prepare and review tax disclosures for UK statutory accounts within the Cantor Fitzgerald group.
- Monitor Effective Tax Rates and report to the US Tax team, including proof of tax and deferred tax substantiations.
- Manage third-party providers responsible for tax disclosure and note preparation across EMEA and APAC.
- Oversee Pillar Two reporting obligations, working closely with EMEA and APAC financial controllers.
- Manage the outsourced UK, EMEA and APAC corporation tax return process, including detailed review of submitted returns.
- Take responsibility for the UK Group Payment Arrangement (GPA), group deductions allowance and related filings.
- Maintain ownership of tax processes, controls and monitoring, contributing to the UK Senior Accounting Officer certification.
- Manage the UK, EMEA and APAC corporation tax payments process, including calculations where required.
- Support tax aspects of group reorganisations, acquisitions and disposals within a highly complex and acquisitive structure.
- Oversee withholding tax reporting and associated reclaim processes.
- Manage shared services centre resources based in India.
- Deliver ad hoc tax projects as required.
Skills and Experience
- Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CTA or ATT).
- Strong experience in corporate tax reporting and compliance, ideally within financial services.
- Proven experience working with auditors, demonstrating tact, discretion and sound judgement.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
- Practical working knowledge of UK hybrid rules is beneficial but not essential.
- Experience in banking, brokerage, private equity or other financial services environments is advantageous.
- US GAAP knowledge is helpful but not required.
