Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for a full‑time hybrid role based in Exeter, with the flexibility to work from home part‑time. In this role, you will design, develop, and evaluate electrical systems, focusing on power distribution and electricity applications. You will collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams on diverse engineering projects, ensure compliance with technical standards, and support project delivery from inception to completion.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Electrical Design, Electrical Engineering, and Design Engineering processes and methodologies
• Strong knowledge of Power Distribution and Electricity systems, including their application and integration
• Proven ability to analyze technical specifications and develop innovative solutions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams
• Experience with designing and assessing electrical systems for infrastructure or energy‑related projects
• Proficiency in industry‑standard design and simulation tools
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required, with an advanced degree being advantageous
• Professional accreditation or the ability to achieve chartered status is a plus
