Job Overview

We are looking for a Java Developer to design and build high-quality applications using Java/JEE and modern web technologies. You will develop application features, integrate systems, and apply best practices such as dependency injection, TDD, and CI/CD. If you enjoy building reliable, secure applications and working collaboratively with technical teams, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain applications using Java/JEE and related frameworks.
  • Build web components using Java frameworks.
  • Apply enterprise practices including dependency injection, IoC, AOP, functional programming, and TDD.
  • Implement data access, transaction management, and system integration.
  • Contribute to DevOps practices such as CI/CD and automated testing.
  • Work with teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Java/JEE development.
  • Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring.
  • Knowledge of web technologies (JSP/Servlets).
  • Experience with dependency injection, IoC, AOP.
  • Understanding of functional programming concepts.
  • Experience with test‑driven development (TDD).
  • Familiarity with data access frameworks (JPA/Hibernate or similar).
  • Knowledge of transaction management.
  • Experience with batch processing concepts.
  • API development and integration.
  • DevOps practices such as CI/CD, automation, Git‑based workflows.
  • Debugging and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to deliver, coordinate, or own development tasks depending on experience.
  • Valid right to work in the UK. Must be a resident living continuously in the UK for the last 10 years.
  • Must be able to hold or gain a UK government security clearance.
