Summary of Role
Raytheon UK’s Weapons team is seeking a confident and driven Project Manager to lead a high‑performing Integrated Project Team within the Weapons and Sensors business. This role will manage the delivery of technically complex, high‑profile projects while building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will drive on‑time, high‑quality delivery, identify and support new business opportunities, and mentor junior Project Managers. The position also offers opportunities for national and international travel to customers and suppliers.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and direct multi‑disciplinary project teams to achieve delivery objectives.
- Maintain project finances, reporting, and forecasting while meeting time, cost, quality, and P&L targets.
- Identify and manage scope, risk, issue, and opportunity risks and provide decision‑making support to senior management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop junior project managers.
- Contribute to capture/proposal management and winning bids.
Essential Qualifications
- Degree‑qualified in a technical, manufacturing, or project management discipline (or equivalent experience). Formal Project Management qualification desirable.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering complex projects to time, cost, quality, and P&L targets.
- Strong issue, scope, risk, and opportunity management skills.
- Confident decision‑maker using project data and performance metrics.
- Experience managing project finances, reporting, and forecasting.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in relevant industry domains.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including customer and senior leadership engagement.
- Experience in capture/proposal management and winning bids.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
- Proactive problem‑solver, able to work under pressure.
- Credible engagement with technical specialists and budget management.
