Our client is looking to appoint a Health & Benefits Director to join their London-based Health and Benefits practice. This is a senior leadership role within a specialist centre of excellence focused on health and wellbeing consulting for corporate clients.

You will be responsible for providingstrategic healthcare consulting advice to a portfolio of large corporate clients, acting as a subject matter expert across UK private medical insurance and wider health-related benefits. This role combines client leadership, technical expertise, and people development responsibilities within a high-performing consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide lead strategic consulting advice on the design, financing, delivery, and management of health-related benefit programmes
  • Act as a senior subject matter expert across UK healthcare and wider employee health benefits
  • Lead client relationships at senior decision-making level, ensuring high-quality service delivery and retention
  • Oversee account teams and projects, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are consistently met
  • Position and articulate the full range of consulting solutions to meet client needs effectively
  • Manage and develop key carrier and provider relationships
  • Deliver revenue targets through existing clients, as well as achieving sales and new business growth objectives
  • Lead RFP responses, sales campaigns, and strategic initiatives
  • Produce thought leadership content and contribute to the development of healthcare consulting propositions
  • Support, develop, and mentor junior colleagues, helping to build capability within the team
  • Actively network across the wider business to drive collaboration and opportunity

Skills & Experience Required

  • Deep technical expertise in health-related employee benefits, including private medical insurance, dental, cash plans, travel, personal accident, and EAPs
  • Strong understanding of broader employee health, risk, and wellbeing strategies
  • Proven experience in a senior healthcare consulting or advisory role, managing large corporate clients
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience delivering against revenue and sales targets
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills at senior level
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple complex projects
  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to mentor and develop junior colleagues
